I had the same problem with a shorter path to upgrade directory.
Not entirely clear, which means "use virtual hostname"? I do not have a cluster,
only one physical server on which the instance and the database.
My OS/RDBMS combination is MS Windows 2008 64-bit/MS SQL Server 2008 R2.
What log and trace files do you recommend to see?

Your system might be having a virtual name.
Also check that this port is not busy.

Have you followed SAP Note,command mentioned and the link which i posted earlier.Also from logs under Environment settings display variable still showing localhost:10.0 .
Are you able to resolve hostname via IP or vice-versa on the system.Kindly confirm.

This is my question, If i will ignore this in uptime phase and when the downtime phase will come by that time queues will be cleared and after that only i will start the patching in downtime phase.

For the respective User Check the Log exists in Tcode: SM21. There you can find out the information that from which IP it is logging in to lock the id.
Also Cross check this is user id is maintained in any RFC's.

5. Keyword input
6.Initialization
10. Error in step 5.2
Still uses port 4240!

So u need to Proceed further once clearing of queues in the system.

As far as I know there wont be any more prompts or popups like these once you skip this phase but the processing can be done before the downtime according to this SAP note.

Note that this processing must take place during system downtime because otherwise the different objects will be immediately filled with data again.

Hi Experts,
I am facing a typical problem. I am carrying out a service pack application activity to my existing BW server which is on Netwever 7 EHP2 SP 10 (ABAP). I need to apply service packs till SP14.
I am successful to apply basis service pack till 12 (SAPKB70212) and when starting applying basis service pack 13 I am facing error in CHECK_REQUIREMENTS phase. It is showing some Open ABAP dictionary corrections on the following two indices.

First point is I found GTABKEYEXC is a structure, and hence I can not create/enable index on it, and the second point is when I am looking into quality or prod system which is still in SAPKB10, there GTABKEYEXC is a table. this is still a surprise, how mere implementation of service pack (SAPKB70211 and SAPKB70212) changes a table to a structure.
Second point is GTABKEYEXC20_S is also a structure and it is not present till the servicepack level (SAPKB70210).
If I use SE14 -> DB Requests-> Created With Import, then I can see the objects there and if I select two of them and then restart then CHECK_REQUIREMENTS comes up with thousands of objects....
I am at a fix, what do you suggest, do I need to create tables and indices from the structures?

Update 17.7.14 : Evening:
Some more information: I thought desperate and tried to update my spam version from 7.02/0053 to 7.02/0054 but I am unable to do that, even if I have deleted the queue, it is showing the same error... Now the problem is I am totally stuck up...Now neither I can come out of SPAM update nor do I Go ahead.....

Finally after doing mass reactivation for around fifteen hundred objects finally list came down to below, but the worst scenario is it is pointing to the two following object which have no object type defined...DBA_XCHG_USER_DATA, MSSERRLIST

Mine is DB2: it is similar to DB6 only. I dont see any file name db2cli.ini file in /sapmnt/SID/global/db2/ should i create one as per the note. I am confused since it is DB6 not DB2.

I have little confusion regarding the Destination service, ADS configured on the Solution manager and ADS using in Development server, My destination service would be FP_ICF_DATA_Solution Manager SID or Development SID?
also same in URL:-
http://Solution manager Host:/Port (8000)
http://Development Server Host:/Port (8000)
I checked the HTTP port of both server is 8000 via SICF.....

Hi,
CLI drivers are required in global mount point for clients to access DB2 database.
Also, DB2 and DB6 are same.
In SAP DB2 on Linux/Unix/Windows (LUW) is DB6
