Hi sathies

Swap memory should be 2-3 times the RAM,

but mostly (2*RAM+1)GB is sufficient for system.

Hi Somesh,

If your system is windows then give permissions to sidadm and sapserviceSID on USR and it subfolders.

If Unix/Linux/AIX - give chmod -Rf 0755 to /usr file system and it's sub folder.

Also, check your users are not locked.

Divyanshu

Dear Srivasthava,

Yesterday the MMC have POD(SID) was missing so, i can add the SID again

1, access system by sidadm user

2, open cmd commandline with administration authorization

3, type command "sapstartsrv -t"

4, in the newly pop up window select remove service 00,

5, repeat step 3-4 to remove service 01

6, repeat step 3,

7, select install service 00 with user sapservicesid, it is with same

password of sidadm in your system,

8, repeat 6-7 to install service 01

9, open MMC, the POD system is added successfully.

like above i steps i added.

Then i start the System above error we are facing.

I restarted the Server OS level on-wards for releasing Memory space. Still the error is persistent.

we checked on USR security the folder have access is <" Users (SAP_GT_PO_DEV\Users) (Read& execute, list folders contents,Read, Special permissions)">

Please suggest.

Hello,

I am coming from mechanical domain with no experience.I was motivated to move my career in sap basis.

Started reading TADMS and have installed SAP IDES ECC 6.0 in my laptop and following the exercises given in books.

I also have a basis knowledge on Linux.

I want to know what questions can be asked in interview as i am fresher?

what kind of position, role or work will i be assigned when i join a organization?

If any valuable suggestions, comments are welcome.

Thanking you

Hi Experts,

I am having some issue with PO and ECC connectivity with data load from PO to ECC system via RFC connection

RFC is configured in PO , SOA -> Technical Configuration -> System Connections -> Provider Systems -> Connectivity  as below

from NW 731 PO system  sending data to ECC system via RFC  connection  getting the following error

We are getting this error sporadically,

Do I have to do anything with the  SLMG log on group for this RFC connection ?

Detail log is attached  too as file attachment

Hi,

Is your PO and ECC system in same network?

Can you increase the gateway timeout value in ECC and see.

Thanks

Imtiaz

Hi Imtiaz,

Thanks for your prompt reply

Currently the gateway time out is 0 (default) in ECC,

PO and ECC are not in the same network , but the connections are ok with the ports as tested with telnet.

Thanks

Hi,

I was not clear earlier, please check value of gw/cpic_timeout in ECC.

Also check gw/max_conn, It could be possible that max connections are reached in ECC.

As you are not in same network, please check network statistics to make sure there is no connection breakdown.

Thanks

Imtiaz

Converting a two system landscape to three system landscape

$

Currently, I have a two system landscape: DEV (development)  and PRD (production) in STMS

I would like to add a QAS system so I will end up with DEV-QAS-PRD in STMS

I would like to keep all data the way it is. I don't want to lose any logs or files in the data and cofiles directories.

This is how I have this planned:

-Include the QAS system in the existing Tranport Domain.(stms in QAS)

-In transaction STMS go to OVERVIEW -> Transport Routes -> Standard Configuration -> Three systems in group

and then save the configuration.(stms on the TDC)

I'm thinking this will preserrve the current log files and the corresponding data and cofile files.

If you have done this, I would appreciate any comment or advise.

Thanks.
