Hi Dan,

 

This was fixed in SUM SP16 and SP17 in last week of Feb 2016. SUM SP14 was used and this is the reason SUM added this parameter as handling in previous version of tool was different.
You can follow the memory management note if you have any issue.

 

If you are planning to use the same old version for next upgrade as well then there are 2 ways to go about this.

 

1. Set the parameter in profile before starting the SUM so SUM will not add this parameter. SUM only adds this if parameter is not present.

 

2. Fix the parameter after the upgrade.

 

Another option would be to use the latest version of SUM and parameter will not be added.

Hi,

modify user account in SU01:

 

- lock account

- insert a validity end date

 

if you want you can also modify license type in the last section, License data,  switching "Contractual user ID" to "Test"

 

When validity end date is in the past, user account is not counted as a license to be payed; if you insert an old date, for example 1.1.1999, SAP will automatically replace this date with last user's login date.

Restrict email destinations in Business Objects

All-

 

Please advise, if we have an option to restrict email destinations in Business Objects, as we have an option on SAP NetWeaver ABAP systems using Transaction code : SCOT. I am trying to restrict email addresses to specific domains Eg : *@example.com ; *@example1.com

 

Appreciate if you could let me know if it is possible to achieve.

Hello Sravan,

i have faced similar issue in our landscape major things you have to identified are follows:

 

1) Check the oracle client either is points to correct one where your environment variable are:

 

export SHLIB_PATH =/usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe/run:/oracle/client/10x_64/instantclient---> Oracle 10g

export SHLIB_PATH =/usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe/run:/oracle/client/11x_64/instantclient---> Oracle 11g

 

2) Make sure the soft links are in place compare with any other where brstats is running, paths you have to concentrate as follows:

 

/oracle/client/11x_64/instantclient/

/oracle/SID/112_64/lib/

/usr/lib/hpux64/

 

3) Copy the files (libclntsh.so.10.1 and libnnz10.so) from  /oracle/client/11x_64/instantclient_11202 to /usr/lib/hpux64 and keep the 755 permission and keep owner and group as bin.

Hi

 

SAP PAM is mainly for its SAP products  though they have separate section for other supported environments, they have different tab  like " JSE Platforms"  " Web Browser Platforms"  "Web Servers" etc, specific section for MS products are missing.

 

But for MS office products, we can refer SAP OSS notes, I am sure they have upto date information.

 

The below note has details for each MS office version. Based on this note, I am sure SAP Supports all its listed MS office products.

Hi Nete,

 

Not sure about availability in PAM but please check below SAP Note which shows that MS Word 2016 is supported by SAP NW from 700 to 750.

 

2237407 - Use of MS Word 2016 as SAPscript editor


This also shows that MS Office 2016 is being supported by SAP.

I find next benchmark information


"Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX2540 M2, 2 processors / 44 cores / 88 threads, Intel

cache per core, 55 MB L3 cache per processor, 512 GB main memory."

 

But when I configure Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX2540 M2 in Fujitsu System Architect, it display next information about this processor:

 

"Intel Xeon E5-2699v4 22C/44T 2.20 GHz

Occupies CPU-slot. This CPU is intended to be used twice. A configuration and order of just a single CPU is possible, but offers no possibility for later upgrades."

Hi Farkath.

 

Yes, You have to follow the SAP system copy from Production to Sandbox system.(Either Backup /Restore or detach / Attach method)

 

1. Export the existing SAP system. (NW 7.01 )

 

2. Import the same to target system with Windows server 2012 with MS Sql 2012, Before that you have to refer the SAP note for minimum Support package level in NW 7.01

  Our database is oracle 11.2.0.3.

 

I believe the same above will works in oracle environment also.

I got the same error message. Actually SAP already issued a fix this issue.

The issue described in OSS Note 2355694 - Error in Multiple Selection with F4 Amodal mode.


The solution is to implement OSS Note 2246712 - SAP GUI F4 Control: Search help is not getting instantiated in web gui.


Worked for me perfectly.

How to built Client-Server Environment

Hello ,


 

As i am a fresher in SAP-BASIS, let me know how to built a client-server architecture , its requirements and how to install it ??

 

Ex: i have a 10TB of client data on my main server and i have to work on 500GB of data from that without disturbing the main data in the server (Its not a client copy). So that i have to built small client-server environment to work.... by using IBM DB2 on HP UNIX.??


how do i take a back up from main server to it and its procedure??

 

Please advice me.

Replacement for SM04 - Goto ->Memory for paging memory per user

Prior to our upgrade to NW 7.4 (some time ago), it was possible to view the amount of paging memory per user via SM04 -> Goto -> Memory, but that is no longer possible on NW 7.4 (at least on an AIX platform).   Is there a new location to obtain this information on NW 7.4?
