If need manually execute 'SAPCPE' for sync the kernel on all Instances

Hello Experts,

We plan to upgrade kernel 720_REl 300 to kernel 721_EXT 300 on all SAP instances.

I plan to only stop the CI first and upgrade the new kernel files to global directory '/sapmnt/<SID>/exe' , and then manually execute 'SAPCPE' on other dialog instances to sync the kernel files as below:

cd /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/<INSTANCE>/work

sapcpe pf=/usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/profile/<instance profile>

Is it right ?

do I need stop SAP on other dialog instances first and then execute 'SAPCPE' on all DI ?

or 'SAPCPE' will automatically executed and don't need execute by manual ?
