Hi Divyanshu,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I looked at those links, but not found there solution of my problem.

Telnet shows that port 4240 is running. The answer for telnet <hostname> 4240 is:

          49{ TYPE Version TEXT "SAPup Protocol Version 2.0"}         476<SAPup

type="configuration" reply="yes"><feature name="dialogue"/><feature name="handle

error"/><feature name="dialoghelp"/><feature name="html"/><feature name="console

"/><feature name="progress"/><feature name="unitcontrol"/><feature name="unitsta

tus"/><feature name="actions"/><feature name="remotecontrol"/><feature name="syn

chronization"/><feature name="mid"/><feature name="exit"/><feature name="evaluat

ion"/><feature name="newhttpsrv"/><feature name="slpserver"/></SAPup>

I had the same problem with a shorter path to upgrade directory.

Not entirely clear, which means "use virtual hostname"? I do not have a cluster,

only one physical server on which the instance and the database.

My OS/RDBMS combination is MS Windows 2008 64-bit/MS SQL Server 2008 R2.

What log and trace files do you recommend to see?

Best regards,

Ilguizar
